Aspen

Aspen is a handsome Alaskan Malamute mix with a gentle disposition and friendly to all he meets including children. Though young and energetic, he settles down easily when given affection. Aspen knows basic commands, learns quickly and easily and is eager to please. He is very vocal and enjoys a good howl.

He is a large strong dog but walks nicely on a leash with an easy-walk harness. Aspen would do best as an only dog. He is up to date on his vaccinations and is neutered.
Aspen requires at least a 6 foot privacy fence.

Mac – Adopted

Mac is a handsome, very large 4-5 year old German Shepherd / Alaskan Malamute mix looking for a place to call home. While he is very friendly and affectionate, he would do best with an owner who is strong enough to handle him as he weighs over 100 lbs. Mac does not do well with other dogs and needs to be an only dog.

Mac loves to go for walks and is learning how to walk on leash appropriately without pulling. He is well suited for an active owner that enjoys jogging, hiking, biking, and/or other outdoor activities. He currently knows several basic commands such as sit and down, but does need a patient owner due to his separation anxiety.

Please no small pets such as small dogs or cats. Mac is up to date on his vaccinations and is neutered.

If you are interested in Mac, please read our adoption requirements, if qualified submit an application, or contact us by calling (732) 534-5745. However, before you complete the adoption application, read the adoption requirements first.

Kira

Kira is a beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd / Siberian Husky mix. She is a little shy around men in particular but warms up very quickly to both men and women. Kira loves to play with other dogs and would need a companion her size, preferably male, that can withstand her version of play. Due to her high energy, she would do great with an active owner that enjoys jogging, hiking, biking, or other outdoor activities. Kira is currently learning how to walk on a leash without pulling. She has not had much training, but she is very intelligent and open to learning and picks up very quickly. She has learned a few commands such as sit, paw, and another paw.

Kira is an escape artist and will need a secure outdoor enclosure to safely contain her. She has not had much experience inside, so we are not sure how she would be as an indoor dog. Please no small pets or small dogs, Kira has a strong prey drive.

Maia

Maia is a 6 month old German Shepherd/ Siberian Husky/Wolf mix. Maia and her sister Mira had little socialization or training before coming to us, resulting in a shy, more aloof temperament with unfamiliar people. With people she knows, Maia is very playful, affectionate, and can be mischievous. She needs a lot of training to be indoors as, like most young dogs, she just wants to grab, chew, and investigate everything she comes across. She has limited experience indoors and would need a committed, patient owner willing to guide her through potty training.

Maia does very well with other dogs, often following their lead and would do best with an outgoing male companion dog to help socialize her to new people. She enjoys going for hikes and walks on the secluded trails on our property and does well on leash. She has not had much experience in the car and does get car sick.

Maia requires at least a 6 foot wooden privacy or chain link fence. Please no small pets such as cats. She is part wolf and will only be adopted to areas where wolfdogs are legal to own.

If you are interested in Maia, please read our adoption requirements, if qualified submit an application, or contact us by calling (732) 534-5745. However, before you complete the adoption application, read the adoption requirements first.

Thunder

Thunder is a handsome 4 year old German Shepherd/Malamute/Wolf mix. He can be aloof and standoffish with strangers, but very affection when he warms up, to the point of being a big goofball! Thunder is a quick learner and knows several commands including sit, down, and spin. He is a very high energy dog and would do best with an experienced, confident owner willing to participate in activities like walking, jogging, and hiking.

Thunder can be food aggressive, especially over raw food, but is being professionally trained to correct this. He was not socialized to other dogs until he arrived at our rescue, and we have noticed he is awkward around other dogs and has problems communicating, but has not shown any real aggression. He requires a fenced in outdoor enclosure that is at least six feet in height. He was raised inside, but would not settle down or relax in the house.

Please no small pets such as small dogs or cats. Thunder is part wolf and will only be adopted to areas where wolfdogs are legal to own.

If you are interested in Thunder, please read our adoption requirements, if qualified submit an application, or contact us by calling (732) 534-5745. However, before you complete the adoption application, read the adoption requirements first.
